Welcome to our D.A.O.N.* newsletter. This winter edition is filled with news from a busy quarter, top biometrics predictions for 2022, and resources to help you get the most from your digital identity and biometrics investments.
In this edition, we're also sharing a new Gartner Report: Take 3 Steps Toward Passwordless Authentication. We think you'll find it to be a very helpful resource, full of key considerations and industry trends.
Happy reading!
Now that we've turned the page on 2021, we have been asked about the industry trends for the year ahead: Will current trends in biometric identity proofing and authentication reverse or accelerate? Where should businesses focus their investment dollars to get the most benefit, and which key technology themes are likely to drive the conversation?
To answer these questions and others, we put together a list of 5 Biometrics Predictionsfor 2022, withthefirst prediction being that every single customer becomes a digital customer for you this year. And when it comes to the banking sector in particular, we predict over half of all customers will choose to do business exclusively through digital channels. For the minority who still feel the need to visit a bank branch, it will be fewer than 5 times per year.
You can read more about this and the other 4 predictions here. And I hope you'll also share your feedback (and perhaps some predictions of your own) with us on LinkedIn or Twitter.
Organizations are three times likelier today than they were pre-pandemic to say that at least 80% of their customer interactions are digital. Even citizen services such as passports, drivers’ licenses, and applications are now being handled online. But as digital transactions and customer expectations for fast, seamless experiences have increased, so have criminal attacks and fraud risks.
This puts the onus on digital identity providers to stay one step ahead. For us, this goes beyond solutions that implement robust encryption, storage, and retention while meeting regulatory and compliance requirements. It means providing customers with full lifecycle services that ensure success from start to finish.
An experienced team of subject matter experts, architects, and consultants guides new customers through implementation and training. Then, a dedicated customer success manager offers a single point of contact for planning, proactive risk and issue identification, and on-going requirements setting and solution strategies to meet key customer goals.
“Our philosophy is that we don’t just ship product, instead, we map out a path to meet our customers’ strategic goals throughout their entire journey with us,” said Aarti Sarin, Vice President Customer Success, Americas. “At the end of the day, our success depends on our customers’ success.” Click here to read more about Daon unique customer success approach.
