I wanted to take a moment to express my excitement at the opportunity to join Daon as President and Chief Product Officer (CPO), as announced recently.
Since leaving Facebook in 2019, I've had the unique opportunity to travel the world and meet with over 500 identity companies, their executives, and teams. It was clear to me that Daon had something truly unique in its people, products, and top-tier customers!
Over the last 25 years, I have been a fellow with the longest tenure at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). At the MIT Media Lab and Harvard-MIT Health Sciences and Technology (HST) departments, I helped pioneer research on artificial intelligence (AI), cloud, mobile, neural science, and security technologies. This primary research and innovation motivated me to pursue venture capital and launch five companies, with the last one acquired by Facebook in 2018.
As a subject matter expert (SME) in identity, authentication, and biometrics, I joined Daon and its extraordinary team of seasoned professionals as the company rapidly expands into new markets and verticals. I am honored to be joining them on this vital mission to lead the expansion of Daon as we provide daily peace of mind, trust, and identity verification to millions of users.
